Minimal water.

I recently spilled a cup of coffee next to my MacBook Pro. The splash got a couple of drops onto the keyboard, one onto the speaker, one on the Touch Bar and Touch ID. The liquid also got close to the right fan (the one that releases air). I tested all the components. All of them worked. I ran a hardware diagnostics and nothing came up. Will my MacBook be fine?

Water damage MacBook Pro short circuiting Hi, Unfortunately I recently spilled water on my MacBook Pro 2019. I kept it turned off for 5 days and have just turned it on. It appeared to be working OK. It boots normally and will then run completely normally for a random amount of time (usually sub 10 minutes and frequently much less) and then it appears to spontaneously short circuit and cuts power to the screen and/or touch bar. The computer remains turned on at this point. If a second screen is connected it loses power to this display, so it appears to be an issue of power rather a problem specifically with the MacBook screen. What would people recommend? I'd be very grateful for any tips. Thanks.

Water spillage on Macbook pro Hello About 10 minutes I accidentally knocked over my water onto my mac, its one of those insulation bottles and the water flowed from the opening onto the top right side of my macbook, near the powerbutton, the speakers and in the gap which allows the screen to fold. (Ifykwim). I immediately flipped it upside down and shook it to get the water off then i flipped it back to dry the water with a tissue. After doing research I have the mac flipped upside down with the keyboard laying on a microfibre cloth. Will it be fine? It still worked and I kept shutting it down because it kept turning on again if anything touched the keyboard. I shut it down 5 times and 2 times when i did the screen flashed pink before shutting off. I’m very paranoid, will it be okay? Is it going to stop working completely in a few days?? Is it going to end up not turning on again? 😭 Please I need to know, I’m genuinely so scared. I also blew it for a minute or less with a fan but the fan died.

Water fell in my MacBook pro Hi all..so the one time I don’t have a keyboard protector I spilled water on my keyboard! I immediately turned it over and dried it. Noticed that water started traveling through to the screen. I turned it off after speaking with apple because I didn’t know this step. So I have it with the screen laying flat on the table under a towel at 90 degrees. A fan blowing on it. what else should I do? There is no apple store open close by. Mobile Kanagaroo is available and I will drive an hour to have them look at it tomorrow. Any advice please?

It's difficult to definitively say if it will be 'fine'. If it's working a few days later I would say you are safe. Try to store your Mac so any liquid is directed away from the interior parts and avoid plugging it in in the affected areas. If you are concerned book an appointment and take it to a retail store and it can be checked for liquid damage.

Since it is working, it may be fine; however, to be sure, I would have Apple or an authorized service provider check it out just to make sure.
