"Enter your old passcode"

I'm setting up my iphone it keeps asking me for my old passcode. I pressed "Forgot passcode?" and it tells me to reset end-to-end encrypted data. What does that mean?

If I understand you correctly, it may be that your iPhone is linked to your old Apple Id. So you'd need to log into that old account and unlink that device.

When you say you forgot your old "passcode" do you mean the 6 digits you enter to unlock your phone? If you can remember you old Apple Id and password(which is different than the passcode) You may be able to log in on icloud.com and its there under account settings that you could unlink the device. I am not sure if it would then also need you to reset the device again.

Hello, I actually restored my disabled iphone using these steps you linked two days ago. All my data was erased but I had no problem with that. It was after this when I was setting it up that it asked me the old passcode of the time I used a different Apple Id. So , now in my settings, it keeps displaying the message "Update Apple Id settings: some account services will not be available until you sign in again." But, I do not remember the old passcode I had with my previous Apple Id from 2 years ago.
