Apple TV unit restarts whenever my tv goes black

I recently moved my Apple TV unit to a different TV, and now it restarts whenever the TV displays a full black screen for more than 1 second.

Often, for example, after a pre-roll ad or episode recap, there will be 1-2 seconds of a black screen before the main content starts to play. But my Apple TV won't ever play the main content because it restarts itself during that moment of blackness.

Sometimes even in the middle of a movie or show, there will be 1-2 seconds of blackness as a transition between screens, and yep, my Apple TV will restart itself. Even if I'm playing a game on my Nintendo Switch, on a different HDMI port, if the game goes to full-black for 1-2 seconds, my Apple TV on the other HDMI port will restart itself. It's madness!

Based on someone's advice, I restarted my entire network from the modem to the router to the Apple TV, and the problem actually went away... briefly.

The TV is an LG, but so was the other one it was connected to, with no issues.
