After seemingly a routine OS update, upon the unit rebooting there was a static screen that then blacks out, comes back as static, blacks out again over and over. The unit is totally uncontrollable. I have unplugged and re-plugged during the last few days with no success. It is effectively a brick at this moment.

You will need assistance from Apple with this issue. The system software may need to be restored externally. Users can’t do this themselves for models without USB (all 4K models).

Apple TV 4K (1st Gen/2017) white lite rapid blinking. I unplugged the power for 8+ hrs, but no change when I plugged it back in. Unplugged HMDI cable at both ends, but still no luck. Recently, I updated the film ware to 17.02 and it worked perfectly for about a week. Now this, can this be fixed?
