restricing application access for certain users

Hello, Im attempting to setup a 2020 Mac book pro running on Catalina and would like to restrict access to certain3rd party Applications in the Applications folder on my daughters user profile.

I have (reluctantly) created an Apple ID for her as all the guides I've found so far have said the Parent control are now setup through family Sharing and screen time but I'm struggling to find how to select the apps I want to restrict access to.

could someone point me in the right direction please.

You may be able to move the third-party app into an Applications folder you create in your user home folder (or other users if more than just you needs it).

That isn't possible for the built-in Apple apps, but might also work for some of the add-on Apple apps (Pages, iMovie, etc.)

It depends on how the app was installed whether it can be moved, and the app itself may require that it resides in the main Applications folder.
