If you contact Apple Support, you can request a remote battery diagnostic - which will likely better inform any necessary remedial action. The Contact Support link is at top-right of this page.

Alternatively, the excellent Apple Support App can be used to open a support case:

The battery might be defective.

But since you bought that device recently, have it inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector
