Does the newly released Apple Watch Edition series 6 have Sapphire glass or Ion-x? I can't find anything online on Apple.

I've already ordered the Stainless Steel. Just got off with an Apple Store Sales Specialist (don't call tech support, they won't know) and they confirmed the Stainless Steel, Titanium and Hermes have sapphire crystals.
According to the “tech specs” on Apple’s web site “Ion-X glass display on aluminum cases; sapphire crystal display on stainless steel and titanium cases“
How long is a long time. And other watches don't use ION-X you are comparing just to the Apple Watch. It is more expensive because it is harder and scratch resistant. It is more prone to shattering because it is harder. The ION-X and some other glass will get CRACKS easier but sapphire crystals can shatter more easily. It is a trade off. Anyone who has collected watches knows this and this predates the Apple Watch. As I said on two occasions I have shattered sapphire crystals (but I've had a lot of watches with sapphire crystals). I still prefer sapphire. And I've confirmed it is sapphire on the Edition.
Have reached out to several Apple support sections so far but no response nor clarification. Indeed a strange discrepancy.
Once again, this is not correct. I have also worn sapphire glass for a very long time. There is a reason it is more expensive, and this is because it is stronger IN ALL ASPECTS to ION-X glass.
According to this article, the screen material is as it was previously: https://www.slashgear.com/apple-watch-series-6-and-se-differences-missing-features-and-the-fine-print-15638179/
