Sound and Haptics stoped working suddenly.

About every other day, the phone's sound and haptics just stop working. When I press the volume switches, the slider appears, but usually around 10 seconds later. Toggling haptics or sounds doesn't trigger them. About 50% percent of the time a hard reset will fix the issue, but it comes back, even when I do a completely clean install from iTunes. Other symptoms: anything requiring audio (like YouTube, Music, Podcasts, etc.) won't run during these "lag" sessions.

Anyone have clues as to what's going on?

Hi, you can download the latest iOS software update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

If the issue persists, you need to restore your phone as new:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Still not working? You can take your phone to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service provider. You can book an appointment on getsupport.apple.com or use the Apple Support app.

Definitely I will give it a try. But as I mentioned the backup was taken from a good iPhone. And after factory reset I will have to install each app manually to skip restore. 🙄 but worth trying. I will get back to you. Thanks

Thanks for your help but no success. The phone is with local Apple Support. They suggested there is no fix for it and I have to buy another device. 😔

Thanks for the reply I very much appreciate. I am on latest iOS 13.7 and I have put it back to factory settings and restored to my latest backup from my another iphone (which worked very well without any issues). Looks like left with last option to visit Apple store. :((

Hi, have you tried restoring the phone & not restoring your backup? The backup may still have the issues in it.

I recommend restoring your phone to factory settings & not restoring your backup then observe it.

If the issue is still there then proceed to the Apple store.
