New iPad Air versus 2020 iPad Pro

Hi,

Last week I purchased a new 256mb iPad Pro 11 inch. Yesterday I watched the release info on the new iPad Air. I didn't unwrap my new Pro because I was waiting to hear what was happening to iPad. Would you consider the Pro to still be a significant step above the new Air or has the new Air closed that gap to the point I might consider getting an Air instead.

The differences between the new iPad Air 4 and the forth generation 2020 iPad Pro are not as straightforward as they were with the Air3.

On paper alone, the new A14 CPU that powers the new Air4 appears to offer a significant step-forwards in raw capability - whereas the 2020 iPad Pro models have many different features and capabilities not present in the iPad Air4.

Perhaps the better way to look at the differences is not to look at specific specifications, but instead to consider the “feature set” of the “package” - where there remains clear differentiation between the iPad models.

The best iPad, for you, is the model that best fits your usage requirements. I very much doubt that you’ll be at all disappointed with your iPad Pro 11”.

I hope this insight is helpful to you.
