Extend 2 monitors with MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2019 and want to run an HDMI and a VGA monitor. I am using an Aukey adaptor with HDMI and VGA ports. However, the two external monitors are mirrored and I only see one external monitor in my display settings. Is more than one external monitor allowed? If so, how can I access the VGA as an extension instead of a mirror to the HDMI monitor?

You need to buy a better dock. The inexpensive docks on Amazon give you what you pay for. At least they're honest about it, this is from an Amazon page for the Aukey 12-in-1 USB-C hub:

No matter how many displays you connect to the hub, they're all the same desktop, not separate/extended.

Docks from Brydge (Stone Pro), Elgato, OWC, Kensington and Belkin will properly support the dual displays (at up to 4K) that you're Mac is capable of driving. There's a reason those cost >$200.

If your MBP has four TB3 ports, you can just connect the displays directly to two of them (via USB-C-to-whatever adapters). If it has only two TB3 ports, you'd need one of the displays to be USB-C with at least 60 W of power delivery.
