It's not as easy as it should be to find training courses.

https://training.apple.com/us/en/courses

https://training.apple.com/us/en/courses/macos/macos_support_essentials_10_15

For the cost of these courses, you should be a to convince your boss to buy you a nice mac and you learn it on your own.

Good luck. Stop by for any questions you may have.

I find these apps improve my macOS productivity:

  • keyboard maestro -- assign apps and scripts to function keys. macOS has this great ability to start the app on the first press of the function key then on the second press of the function key to switch to the app

  • bbedit -- edit plain text files

  • find any file -- search partition for files with a particular name

  • carbon copy cloner

  • compare folders

  • EtreCheckPro -- shows all relevant information on a system. Must have.

  • Hex Fiend -- displays file in hex and character

  • Mactracker -- displays specifications an all macs

  • NetSpot -- Discover and analyze wireless networks around you

  • OmniDiskSweeper -- shows where you are using the most drive space.
