Turn off / disable App Library in iOS 14

Is there a way to disable the App Library, so that I don’t have to see it at all? I don’t have many apps, don’t need them categorized, and don’t need to search them, so I’d prefer to just turn it off altogether so that I don’t see it if I happen to swipe right too many times. Thanks!

No need to even look at it if you don’t want to use it. Carry on using your home screen and folder setup. The App Library sits beyond the last Home Screen. Well out of the way. Someone in this thread claims to have “got rid” of it by doing some kind of “reset”. They’re wrong but it goes to show that it’s so well hidden that they don’t even know it yet.

Perhaps the worst thing about Apple/iOS is when Apple users voice a legitimate complaint in an Apple forum, the Apple Fan Boi's in unison deride the complaining user.

Looking past the insult and name calling... spelling it a different way changes nothing.

This is not an Apple Forum for complaints. You knew this as you agreed to Apple's terms and conditions when you signed in.

It is a place to ask and have answered, primarily by non Apple volunteers, technical support questions.

The technical question has been asked and answered multiple times.

The App Library at present can't be removed.

It's understood you don't like this answer, but yet it is the only answer we can provide here.

Came here hoping for a different answer. While I get the reason Apple offered this feature, it’s kinda useless to those of us who built up a better library using folders and I don’t see how it could ever surpass a self curated library.

The inability to suppress it is an annoyance.

I recommend others with similar opinions share them with Apple via their feedback channels.

To all the complainers of this App Library 📚 (and I’m also one of them 🤨)

Instead of swiping in the conventional way, why not try using the small dots towards the bottom of the Home Screen, that you can also use in a swiping action? Using these dots prevents the App Library from making an appearance if you swipe too far... as well as the Widgets at the other end! It’s pretty neat! 😃

That App Library is a stupid idea, but I suppose it have a bug, must have to option for disabled, what know Apple about how’re I want to organize my phone?
The answer to that I will find it when I look in App Library. Nafeng I hope that will fix because not use to nobodies, and for what is ?
???? Apple it’s innovative no regression.

No, there is no option to disable the App Library.

People have been begging Apple for years for additional methods to organize apps. This just goes to show that, even when you leave the old method and just add a second, easily ignorable method, you can't please everyone.

Please allow us to disable this useless feature.

Why don’t you go to the Grand Canyon and shout that over the edge. It will be just as effective as asking for something in this USER-TO-USER forum that Apple does not read for your opinion.

And for all practical purposes it is disabled. It is only enabled if you scroll past the last page of your Home screen. Which I have never done in the months since the feature was added, except for a couple of times I needed it to recover an app I had lost from my home screen. Then I was really glad Apple added this feature.
