Turn off / disable App Library in iOS 14

Is there a way to disable the App Library, so that I don’t have to see it at all? I don’t have many apps, don’t need them categorized, and don’t need to search them, so I’d prefer to just turn it off altogether so that I don’t see it if I happen to swipe right too many times. Thanks!

I’m with you, NOT a fan of the “app library” at all and want it gone! Why do I need all my apps duplicating? That is all it’s done, and I already have my apps in their own little “libraries” or groups anyway!

We simply wish they'd focus on stuff that matters, and on returning choices to users it.

Then by all means, tell "them"

It's a sign they think we can't be trusted

You must be new to Apple.

Has it occurred to you what their motive was to create something that is not manageable at all?

Sorry. That's simply an absurd statement.

You win. Apple is perfect

Speaking of changing the nature of the conversation.

I have been here for several years and have never seen this statement made by a tenured volunteer.

None of us advocate this. What we do advocate is context and respect for the terms you agreed to.

The idea that not all are happy with the App Library is clear to anyone who can read. You want choice. Point made. Move on.

Nobody here implemented it. Nobody here can remove it. Nobody here can modify it.

Please make this library optional. Don’t patronize your customers. I want my Home Screen as I want. I don’t want people seeing which app I downloaded or which one I use the most. This is privacy invasion. What make this huge squares?

I don't have customers. I suspect most of us participating in this user-to-user forum don't. You can continue to arrange your home screens exactly as you want. No one is stopping you. As for your thoughts on the App Library, why not tell Apple?

The APP Library is NOT needed for me, please give us choice of DISABLE or ENABLE in case someone may like the feature. BUT I DO NOT see what would be good ways of using it.

No one here can implement the change you'd like to see. Let Apple know your thoughts:

Meanwhile, just ignore it. You don't have to use it just because it's there.

I registered here just to say that this feature looks aweful. Please add possibility to turn it off in next update

Then you registered to participate in this community for the wrong reason. As has been stated a few rimes in this thread, Apple does not participate here so, if you want to send feedback, do so using this link.

I created all the folders I ever needed and named and arranged them so that I could always find what I wanted easily.

And they are still there.

Who decided that they know better than me how to organize MY apps on MY phone?

Apple decided to give you a second option. It does not replace or remove any existing options. It just adds new ones. That you don't have to use.

MAJOR FAIL!

It works very well for me, thank you. And I've submitted feedback to that effect. I've also made a couple of suggestions on how Apple can continue to improve the feature.

Therefore it's clear this is intentionally a forced usage feature (for some reason no one can figure out) which is the only thing anyone on here is mentioning their distaste for.

Which makes it an Apple Policy issue and the terms we are all bound by here, do not permit discussing Apple Policy.

Apple asks for Feedback as above, not here.
