Turn off / disable App Library in iOS 14

Is there a way to disable the App Library, so that I don’t have to see it at all? I don’t have many apps, don’t need them categorized, and don’t need to search them, so I’d prefer to just turn it off altogether so that I don’t see it if I happen to swipe right too many times. Thanks!

There were a couple of us simply discussing the things we don’t like about this unmanageable feature.

We know you don't like it. But, there's nothing anyone here can do to remove it so, repeating that is rather pointless. As to why you can't seem to manage a feature that doesn't require any managing, I suspect that's beyond us as well. However, if you give specific problems you are having using the App Library, perhaps someone can give some suggestions.

I’m not negating the fact that some people may need to be made aware of the steps that have been posted or stated. I’m simply saying the “just ignore it” statement is rude and arrogant, as this solution may seem simple and easy for you, but does not work well for others. It’s about understanding other people’s views, which you clearly have difficulty with.

Some other people’s views may be different from yours, which you clearly have difficulty with. But you don’t seem to recognize that, either. I’m thrilled the App Library is there for when I need it, especially the alphabetical listing of my 290 apps.

And my view is that it is easy to ignore, a view that you have difficulty with also.

And here might be a useful tip: Don’t scroll through your Home screens by swiping. Instead put your finger on the dots below icons and scroll using the dot slider. The App Library will not appear, only your Home screen pages will show.

Why don't put it all to left side.

Because there's already something else there. However, you can let Apple know your thoughts on the matter here:

Meanwhile, try putting your frequently used apps on the first page. You can always get to that quickly. You can also put your most favorites in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

I am shocked by the tone Apple uses against its users about this.

This is a user-to-user forum. To the best of my knowledge (don't have time to go back through all 43 pages right now), Apple hasn't directly participated in this thread at all.

Why can’t Apple just let us disable it?? It was so easy with Siri and many other functions we don’t want. Why is it such a huge issue about that library?

No one here in this user-to-user forum would know why Apple makes the decisions they do. Nor does Apple read here for suggestions or feedback. You can let them know your thoughts here:

Therefore it's clear this is intentionally a forced usage feature (for some reason no one can figure out) which is the only thing anyone on here is mentioning their distaste for.

Which makes it an Apple Policy issue and the terms we are all bound by here, do not permit discussing Apple Policy.

Apple asks for Feedback as above, not here.
