Turn off / disable App Library in iOS 14

Is there a way to disable the App Library, so that I don’t have to see it at all? I don’t have many apps, don’t need them categorized, and don’t need to search them, so I’d prefer to just turn it off altogether so that I don’t see it if I happen to swipe right too many times. Thanks!

I can't ignore it because it prevents me to be able to blindly navigate to the page with my most important apps! To have to go back one step is not an option because in that scenario I won't have a decent grip doing that movement and will miss the correct page as lowest risk but may drop the phone as worst. I want to be able to turn off the mess!

The APP Library is NOT needed for me, please give us choice of DISABLE or ENABLE in case someone may like the feature. BUT I DO NOT see what would be good ways of using it.

No one here can implement the change you'd like to see. Let Apple know your thoughts:

Meanwhile, just ignore it. You don't have to use it just because it's there.

Thank you Apple. Not being able to disable the App Library from my Home Screen is the final reason why this will be the very last iPhone I ever own. Android phones may come with a higher security risk, but the inability to control the display of my phone does not make me feel any less suspicious of Apple breaching security promises to collect user data for profit — especially when user data is categorized and openly displayed for everyone to see. From the hundreds of negative comments here about your App Library, it’s obvious you didn’t consult the users again before implementing another one of your company’s marketing misfits’ lame, useless, and inconvenient ideas.

I find it amusing when people "channel" Steve Jobs here. You couldn't be further from the truth and you really should read the book about him. If anything the App Library is one of the MOST Steve Jobs-Like features Apple has brought out lately. Steve was very famous for saying that he gave people what they didn't know they wanted. He didn't care what people actually wanted.

You do realize Samsung, Google, etc., use the Android operating system, which is Google. Samsung doesn't make the operating system for their phones. You won't have any more control over features introduced on Android phones than you do on iPhones.

As only users on this user to user forum, we really don't care what phone you decide is the best option for you.

Same !! I hate it and now I’m hating my iPhone as well !!!!! I already know which apps are social media or which are for education so I don’t need any instructions for that !! I just want it to be removed asap !!

What is your problem? Just never swipe to the last page, and you will never see it. I certainly never see it except in the rare instance where it is useful to find an app I’ve misplaced among my 290 apps.

And it isn’t going to be removed (it’s been added to the iPad in iOS 15), so learn to live with it as I suggested; just never look at it.

Oh man!! If i knew i cannot disable that stuff i would never have updated my iPhone. It was nice before. No added value at all, only trying to keep up with Android UI.

@Apple, rhe reason why many people decide for an iPhone is exactly because it is NOT Android like! Remember that and keep it super simple, just the way it always was

I agree it’s ugly and clunky. I don’t want an Android thanks. it’s like when they pushed the U2 album on us and tried to force the Apple Music radio. No thank you
