Turn off / disable App Library in iOS 14

Is there a way to disable the App Library, so that I don’t have to see it at all? I don’t have many apps, don’t need them categorized, and don’t need to search them, so I’d prefer to just turn it off altogether so that I don’t see it if I happen to swipe right too many times. Thanks!

Tell Apple that. Telling each other in a user to user only forum, which Apple does NOT participate in is pointless.

Use the feedback link to whine and moan all you want --> https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Using that link is the ONLY way your voices will be heard by Apple. They won't respond to you. But they will read what you write.

It’s not about the new App Library feature itself to be honest. But its location in UI makes it so irritating. Really hard to ignore something you don’t need popping into you eyes bunch of times every day instead of something you’re looking for.

Users having one or two application pages on their iPhone screens probably not even understand the issue. They just don’t go there. Also there is no reason to complain about widget screen — there is no need to swipe pages left when you’re directly heading to a specific page.

However, going to the last (the rightmost) page after unblocking iPhone you swipe harder to jump over other pages. And now instead of the desired application page you land on App Library page. And this happens many times a day.

That’s why widget page don’t need to be hidden — it’s hidden already, but App Library page needs configuration option to hide it.

By the way, I have sent my feature requests to Apple. I also need widgets to show the next alarm as it used to be before. Neither new Calendar nor Clock widgets show alarms.

There is NOTHING TO SOLVE. The question was can you disable App Library. The answer is NO. Thus question asked and correctly answered. Anything else in this thread is just people whining as though they are somehow entitled to do whatever they want with iOS, which no one owns other than Apple.

If you don't like the answer, use the feedback link provided multiple times throughout this thread. Of if you're really that upset about something you don't even have to use, move to Android or some other platform. But if you do, be prepared for them to introduce some feature on Android you also don't like and have no control over. Your choice of course.

I totally agree the App Library is useless and ugly and annoying
How in the world can something be ugly and annoying that you can’t even see unless you knowingly swipe to the last screen to see it? That’s what I just can’t figure out.

That makes at least two of us. It's really remarkable how something someone doesn't need to use or ever see elicits such irrational negativity.

Please make this library optional. Don’t patronize your customers. I want my Home Screen as I want. I don’t want people seeing which app I downloaded or which one I use the most. This is privacy invasion. What make this huge squares? Why not group then just like in the Home Screen then, where you can make more discrete the apps? And to finish, the categories are not even right, the grouping is a mess (That’s why you guys created the option to make groups in the Home Screen, so we can group them as we like, not as you think they should be grouped)

Stop forcing this personal features on us.
