Turn App Library off?
Anyway to disable the app library in ios14?
I don’t want it, my apps are already organized on my Home Screen.

The App Library is a feature only there for users who wish to use it, sadly apple has no way to disable the App Library at the minute but until a feature like this is added you can not swipe over to that screen, to get back home screens that have disappeared go into jiggle mode by holding an app down and clicking edit home screen and click the dots at the bottom of your screen and check or uncheck the home screens that you want visible.
Doesn't turn off the App Library page, just directs where new Apps are added.. :(
If you are really reading this thread, you should know now that your concerns will not be seen by Apple here. You need to provide feedback if you want to see this feature changed. Use this link.
Thank you, yes I know. Apple does not allow that. They don’t want their hard work thrown away by people who tried their new operating systems and don’t like it. Again, I’m not trying to go backwards. I’m hoping they make an option where you can turn off the features you don’t like (like most others on this forum) and share my experience.
I understand what you are saying.. your best bet is to leave feedback for Apple. The more feedback they get the more likely it gets their attention
No
yeah, I understand. There are other threads where people are annoyed by it. It's also pointed out that this is the first release of their home screen widgets and App Library.. so maybe give it some time to mature.
You can certainly leave feedback for Apple and suggest improvement ideas or let them know what you don't like about it..

• Im guessing Apple Pay’s keen attention to the subject matter on these boards. As such, they are likely aware of the displeasure many users have with this new feature.
I assure you that you are wrong. Apple engineers pay no attention to this support forum whatsoever. Apple has a totally separate group of employees that host and moderate this support forum.
while it may be beneficial to some
• it is obviously an interference for others.
You are making a valid point and I wholeheartedly agree
my guess is that Apple will consider this hotly debated topic and provide the ability to disable the feature in an update.
good day,
As long as users continue to provide feedback regarding this feature, there is a good possibility that it could occur. Provide feedback to Apple. Don’t moan here.
FWIW, I believe that this feature is something that will change in the future. I have nothing to base this on other than the number of people that are providing feedback.
You don't own iOS. You have a license to use iOS and the App Library is baked into it. So no, you will never have the ability to do whatever you want to do within reason on any cell phone, iPhone included.
If you think Android is a better option for for because of a feature you never have to see or use, go to Android. No one on this forum cares what device you feel best meets your needs.
And you're telling us users this, why? Such hatred for a feature that you NEVER have to use or actually see if you don't swipe past your apps as you've always had them arranged.
Still, tell Apple as none of us honestly care what phone you choose to use in the future --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple
Oh it is useful alright. For duplicating apps behind you back so someone else can have access to them without disturbing your home screen. And you won’t find out either until it is too late. That is what is happening to me. At first it appears normally than somehow it is doubled and put in different categories in the library. The Home Screen is all i need. But apparently and app library is needed by someone other than myself because i cannot disable the horrific feature.

Why not have the two view options available to choose from?
Because that's not the Apple way. However, you should submit feedback.
If you've been around Apple as long as you say you have, then you should be well aware there is no path backwards with iOS. You can't go back. Going back has never been supported by Apple.
The feedback link has been used and I’m sure will be promptly ignored. When you said “don’t turn it off”, I think you meant can’t turn it off.
This needs to be addressed, I'm with you, My home screen is just fine. its not even like you can arrange the app library to suit your preferences.
Just give us the option to hide it and it will be fine. Roll on 14.01

If Apple has demonstrated anything at all over the years, it's that they simply don't care about what their customers think and won't admit to their mistakes. I don't think feedback actually works with that crowd.
Feedback does work. The most recent change I recall was in how emojis were displayed because some people were up in arms about it. However, I think it would take a substantial majority of users posting about this to make a difference. So, recruit your friends, relatives and co-workers who agree with you to submit feedback.
