Turn App Library off?

Anyway to disable the app library in ios14?

I don’t want it, my apps are already organized on my Home Screen.

The App Library is a feature only there for users who wish to use it, sadly apple has no way to disable the App Library at the minute but until a feature like this is added you can not swipe over to that screen, to get back home screens that have disappeared go into jiggle mode by holding an app down and clicking edit home screen and click the dots at the bottom of your screen and check or uncheck the home screens that you want visible.

I can very simply tell you why I do not like it. OCD. I will be the first person to admit that I have some crazy OCD and I just do not need the App Library. I do see how it would be useful for others, but it’s just not for me. I’m going to send Apple my opinion and hope they provide a simple update to just turn it off. So yeah, OCD.

Telling Apple is far more important than telling Chris0107 who, though a very helpful forum member, can't do anything to change this.

If you're created screens the way you want them, what difference does it make if the App Library hangs out after the last screen to you? Just don't use the App Library. Your comment saying you hope Apple returns the flexibility back to you makes absolutely NO SENSE since you don't have to use App Library in the first place. It is just simply there. DON'T USE IT if you don't have a need to use it.

I have organized my hundreds of apps into folders, exactly as I want them organized. The presence of the App Library at the very back page of the app folders I have created effects me not in the least. It hasn't taken anything away from me. It doesn't not let me use the folders I created. It's virtually nothing to me other than it's there IF I found a need to use it.

I am simply stunned at how many of you are all up in arms over a feature that changes nothing and isn't something you or anyone else has to EVER use if you don't want to use it.

and to all the ones who said this was pointless of complaints and how we should ignore it. My question is why didn’t you just ignore the thread and just move on! If you go to the original post it makes sense!!

When this thread started off, the OP wanted to know if the App Library could be removed. The third answer in the thread stated the correct answer and that is NO, the App Library cannot be turned off. Plain and simple. Countless times throughout the thread, users were told to voice their displeasure with Apple. The sixth reply in the thread gave all of users that posted to this thread a way to contact Apple with their feedback, but the moaning continued. As was stated over and over again in this thread, NOBODY here can do anything about it, but the moaning continues.

The correct answer was stated on the first page of the discussion. A means to contact Apple was stated on the first page. And yet, moaning continues. This is a user to user support forum. Not a support group for people that have a b*i*t*c*h with Apple. What I want to ask you is why did you feel that you had to add nothing more that a meaningless complaint to the thread?

You would be wrong about that. Apple doesn't pay much if any attention to the whining and moaning on these boards with the exception of Forum Hosts who monitor these threads for violation of Terms of Use, such as disparaging another user, RANTING, etc.

I do agree it is clearly an annoyance for some of you. Moaning about it here however, is worthless. Use the feedback link provided more than once in this thread to get your thoughts to Apple directly.

it is annoying😭😭😭

In the meantime, you should also know Apple isn't here. And Apple isn't reading your sad commentary on your life. And Apple won't do anything from you posting about hating your life.

Let me assure you don't have two copies of apps on your phone. The App Library does NOT duplicate the apps. It's just another way to see them organized. In essence it's like your photo folders. You have all your photos in the Recents folder and then when you place them in an album, you have not duplicated the photo, you've just placed a pointer to that one photo in the album.

People should provide their thoughts to Apple via the feedback link posted multiple times in this thread. The more who tell Apple (constructively) what they'd appreciate seeing in the App Library, the more likely Apple will offer updates in the future.

Apple did NOT remove the ability for you to arrange the apps in the order or in folders in any way. All they did was simply provide an App Library (in admittedly odd groupings) on the last page of however you had your apps ordered to begin with.

Not one App Folder or order of my apps was in any way changed when the App Library was added.

Make sure that you send feedback to Apple as has been suggested time and time again in this thread.

Trust me, I'd rather be doing other things with my time, this just gets up my nose and I don't have the option of ditching my work phone for a better, cheaper Android option.

Spending time here moaning about the App Library is probably not the best use of your time if your time is that valuable.
