i have an iphone 7 and its just over two and a half years old and the wifi connections are extremely slow. i routinely have wifi turned off and run on cellular data only. is there anything i can do to fix it? i know one of the possible problems is that it could just be an old modem but i want to explore all my options

That's really your call (sorry, no pun intended). The iPhone 7 is a bit outdated, but if you really like it, it may be worth having it looked at, at least.
It may be possible that your iPhone 7 is one of the models affected by the Apple recall. Although the recall was specifically aimed at a "no service" issue, it may still pertain to your phone's issue.

ok i just checked and it is one of those recalled models but i dont think theres really anything to do about that now seeing as apples deadline was sometime in early 2018. would it be worth getting it fixed/checking it out at this stage?
