Why my Air pod always DISCONNECTING on All Device since use Firmware 6.8.8?
it is really frustrating to plugging in the left air pod every 30 sec. I have done forget device, reset connection but can't solving this issues. Please Apple can solving this issues because My air pod is useless
Identical issue. Have followed all advice around resetting reconnecting. Shouldn't Gen1 AirPods be able to update beyond 6.8.8?

I've looked into the wifi/bluetooth interference as well but I don't think that is the consistent "left AirPod drop after 20 second" issue. Ive tested for interference by using in various locations (even while traveling to other cities) and same issue.
