The clock widget is displaying incorrect time. See the time at the upper left corner and the clock widget.
With iOS 14.2 on my iPhone XS, it seems that time is always correct (which was not with earlier 14.x), BUT once the background switches to dark after sunset it does not switch back to white the morning after. Manually toggling the Date/time options 12/24 hrs or Manual/Automatic resets the correct daytime background.
The time on the Status Bar is the correct time.
FWIW ... I’m sorta OCD about clocks being sync’d. 🤫
That widget display would drive me nuts!
I “read” the 3rd post that the clock app did not match the widget app.
Would they not use the same timing source ?
The Clock App is ok.
The Clock Widget (iOS 14) is buggy. Does not sync correctly.
This is the solution! Thank! It works! :-)
Yay! Glad it worked!
Same for me .. incorrect time in clock widget. Working like trash for now🙁
Re: “... It would seem that the Clock widget does not run while the iPhone is locked. The widget gets suspended until the phone is unlocked again ...”
Nice “correlating” detective work. 👍
Same with me. I noticed, the widget clock will have discrepancy after I used the WhatApps.
seems apple is relying on users to beta tests updates, it would be nice to give your SW team more time instead of just releasing pricy HW...
Its already turned on for a long-long time ago, and the dark side, I mean bug is still here.
I updated to 14.1 yesterday and haven't found this bug. I hope they fix this bug with 14.1.
My clock doesn't show the correct time, nor does the 2nd hand move, except right after I re-boot for a few minutes. Then it stops again. This is both on my 7SE and 7+
I had the same issue but the hard reset iPhone mentioned on the first page here fixed it for me.
Been seeing this since iOS 14 landed in 14.0, 14.1, 14.2. Normal icon is fine. Widget with 4 clocks is fine. It’s just the widget with a single clock that’s the issue.
