Ethernet cable not coming up...

Hi I’ve got a MacBook Pro 2017... it doesn’t have an Ethernet port so I purchased one... it doesn’t come up on the left whatsoever or anything? What am i meant to do? The cable is perfectly fine as others in the family use it...

move tried to delete the WiFi connection and get it back But nothing is happening...


i don’t know if the One from Yourselves is any different...?

What Ethernet adapter did you purchase? A 2017 MacBook Pro has only Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C ports, you need something like the Belkin GigE adapter (or a dock that provides similar functionality).


To ensure your Mac uses Ethernet (when connected) instead of Wi-Fi, make sure Ethernet is above Wi-Fi in the service order.
