Apple Pencil 1 battery fix

My Apple Pencil 1 didn’t appear to be charging after months of not being used. Although it appeared as connected in Bluetooth settings, it didn’t show in the battery list at all, so I assumed it was dead.

Having read some of the posts on here about it needing a bit of heat to kick start I thought I’d try that. I’m in England, so there’s no chance of sitting it outside in the heat, so I just held it against my cuppa for 5-10 minutes. When I connected it to my iPad Pro again, it showed up in the battery list as 48% charged, so maybe it had been charging earlier but just wasn’t showing. As I've been typing this, it’s jumped up to 79%. Sorry, photo is sideways!
