I recently re assembled my 2011 imac 27"after relpacing the video card.
Everything seems to be working fine now, although now it will randomly power on by itself. The computer had been completely shut down for 24 hours, and it just powered on by itself. This has happened 3 times since I re-assembled a few days ago.
any ideas why this would happen?

If it doesn't help, try to run Apple Hardware Test if it reports something.
