I received a text about a missed delivery

I received a text about a missed delivery - I did not think it was odd since I do have things delivered however when I pressed on the link it said I ordered a new iPhone and need to set up a date for delivery! Two concerns here (1) did I just jeopardize my phone by hitting that link and (2) if it was legit how can I confirm where this phone came from and who was charged without actually accepting it. ?!?! At this point I have no intention on setting up a scheduled date for delivery since I never ordered a phone !

We see that you have some concerns with a text in regards to a missed delivery. You have come to the right place for guidance with this.

What you have received is most likely a phishing attempt because Apple does not send text messages in regards to orders unless you opt into them upon time of purchase.
