I get an error message sayin
The document "BlindSided6.4.logicx" could not be saved.
I can do a "Save as" and save it, but if I just do a "Save" after I have opened and edited the song it won't let me save under the same version.
I did a restart and it resolved the issue. I have a two external hard drives that I usually save on. Don't know why I was getting that error though. I've never seen that one before.
Maybe enlighten me what you mean by (appended to the file "Old Fashion Way") Do you mean instead of alternate versions? Thanks
"Under the same version"? I assume you're referring to the version number you appended to the file name the old fashion way?
Where do you save the project? Format, name and free space on that location?

So what you are saying is that when someone uses a cloud based it will trace all edits by multiple users and allow any use to revert back to a previous "Save"? I would imagine that the internet connection would have to be pretty fast? What cloud based storage would you use for large logic Pro package files?.

This was just an example. An example where the concept of "save" is outdated.
No the Internet connection has nothing to do with that.
For now, I avoid all synced cloud storage for logic project files.

It is just that in the early days of office automation on PCs, people kept these habits to put the version in the name of the file from the paper world. Modern file systems and most applications now include more efficient version management. It is just it is not well known by users. Yes, alternatives are one of them. To give you an idea, most cloud based document applications can trace all edits made by every users and allow you to revert to any state (version) of the document.
Going back to your issue. What I suspected is the save path got corrupted. This is more common with external volumes. Restarting the computer can clear that.
