watchOS 7 Battery Drain
I updated my series 4 Apple Watch to WatchOS 7 today. I use my watch all day and usually have about 30% battery left when I go to bed and start changing. Today my phone got to 10% by 2:30 pm! Why is this drawing so quickly?

I had the same issue on my Apple Watch Series 4 after updating to iOS7. I tried shutting down background app refresh, and ensured sleep app and hand washing apps were off.
This didn't fix issue so I read on some other forums about repairing to your iPhone. So I did a reset on my watch. I restored using the same backup I just reset and today the problem seems to be gone. After a 2hour walk I have only went down 13% which is normal level. When I was running out of battery my watch was showing a 35% drop after my walk.
if restoring from the backup didn't work I was going to try setting up as new watch but obviously I didn't have to go that far.
Unpairing and re-pairing didn’t work. Not using watch and power drain is still significant on my Apple Watch 4.
Yes! Mine too. Wondered why location was constantly being used.
I updated my iwatch 5 to os7 & my battery start draning. I have to recharge my afternoon. I did power reset & reboot my watch than unpair & pair my watch. Now my watch is working fine.
Drained significantly, had to charge it twice today and I still had to put it up at midnight, losing hours of data. WTF?.
Same here, series 4, battery drained by mid afternoon
Apple Watch 5 unpaired and paired.
Restored from backup.
And it works as good as with watch os 6!
89% instead of 30% in the middle of the day.
Unpaired, paired, battery is fine. I'm getting off this thread.
I solved the issue on Series 5 un-pairing the watch and pairing again (from backup)
unpairing and repairing did nothing for me on series 3. still barely over a day battery life when i use to get almost 2 1/2 days. any way to downgrade?
Unpairing and repairing as a new watch worked for me on series 4
worked for me also and deleted any unused apps from the watch. I agree with another poster, we should not have to do this.
good advice ! done here !
I solved this problem by unpairing the Apple Watch and reconfiguring it as a new device. I hope it can help.
I have the same problem! Just with 2 hours of usage on my apple watch series 5 battery dropped to 60% just by looking the notifications and the time. No wotkout no nothing.
