Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
Every screen shot I take turns out super dark, like the brightness is turned all the way down or there's a dark grey filter over it. I can't figure out what's wrong, thought it was the ios14 update but my friend isn't having the same issue at all.

I have the same thing. But I’ve been using the zoom function to dim my screen further.
I just turned off zoom and the screenshots come out as they should.
Maybe there is another option in the accessibility for this.
Amen!!! You’re getting me fired up again on this. $1200 for my brand new iPhone 12. It’s a month old. I’ve scoured the web and tried every suggestion posted here and then some. An acquaintance who works for Apple (I reached out to her on Instagram mind you) told me to go to the Apple store to resolve it. Have u seen the lines at Apple lately? Still debating if I should stand there and wait. It’s probably a quick fix which really chaps my ***.

Same Problem here did only start for me after the update
Had the same problem, it is caused by the low light filter in the zoom settings. Switching off zoom will work.
Instead of turning zoom off, change the zoom filter to “none”. It’s automatically set to low light. The photo below is a screenshot with zoom on and filter off.
tap on zoom filter and put none and your screenshots will be back to normal , no need to turn zoom off
My screenshots are all dark. Why?
See my post above. You need to turn off the zoom filter. Settings>Accessibility>Zoom>Filter

If you go to accessibility in settings and click on zoom. Then go to zoom filter and select none. Screenshots will be as normal. No need to switch off zoom.
I use the zoom accessibility shortcut only to allow Low Light filter (I don't care about zoom, it's already off).
With iOS14 I cannot take normal screenshot the same as iOS 13 with these settings
It’s fixed in 14.2, at least for me. Now you can use the zoom low light filter and the screenshots will still turn out normal. Huzzah!
