I just recently updated my ios to ios14. Im using an iphone 11. But every time i want to send an animoji, I’m getting an error “face tracking failed” . I don’t have a phone case. I wipe the camera lens. I also went outside for some sunlight. But its still not working. My face id works fine. What can i do?

It looks like you're experiencing an issue with your Face tracking failing when you're trying to use your Animoji. If we haven't captured the issue completely, please feel free to correct us.
A great place to start would be to force quit your messages application and restart your device to see if the issue persists.

My phone randomly started letting it work how weird.
I’ve had the same problem since the update. Mine started randomly working again last night. However, I went to use it a few moments ago and it has stopped working again. I’ve noticed it is also affecting my Face ID. Hopefully Apple fixes it soon.
Same here. The face tracking within my messages app is not working, but it is working, plus the Memoji feature on Clips and in the camera app (face tracking via Potrsit mode). Frustrated.

Same thing is not working for me today. Same message. Yes, I force-closed the app. Yes, I reset the phone. And this is a new phone that I set up as a new phone.
(I don't know why it says 'HomePod' up there. Clearly this is about my iPhone 12 Pro.)
