After installing the new iOS 14, when I scroll something for example Messenger chat or some sites it is not scrolling as smooth as it was. It’s lagging and I feel like my phone is struggling to scroll, which is no sense.
How can I fix that?

How can I fix that?
Having the same issue on my iPhone X since updating. Quick google search shows we aren’t the only ones having this issue. It seems to get worse over time. When it starts bugging me I’ve been restarting my phone and it fixes the issue until later that day. My guess is there’s a RAM issue with iOS 14 that gets worse the more you open apps and use your phone. Please fix this Apple!!!

Same for me. Using iphone 8 plus and laggy scrolling through in almost all apps. Been waiting a good excuse to go back to Android phones. I thinks that’s the sign for it. Apple is making my 8 plus more useless after every update.
Same issue on Iphone X latest update 14.2 didn't not solved it.
Also have other issue where there isn't a keyboard popping up if there is a text box (this is solved with a workaround) if you lock the phone en open it again.
My 11 Max Pro has been flawless since new but now I’m having so many issues with iOS14. Lagging scroll, jumps back to top while scroll through Google images, photo taking lag, screen goes dim on its own, endless complaints and bugs. This is unacceptable Apple.
I have also had significant performance issues with iOS 14.2. I have been trying to scroll capture using Safari in iOS 14.2 and that has quit working also. Really sucks due to the fact I am UAT testing :(
Yep same as plenty of others, didnt have much of a problem until 14 came out as far as I know....have a friend that has the 12 pro max and its the same thing, so its definitely something in their software for the OS. Nothing has fixed it, rebooting might help for a little bit but thats it. Really wish Apple would hear people complaining about this and get to fixing it, iOS is usually butter smooth and for all the years being on an Apple phone, this is the worst I've seen it, granted its not preventing me using the device as it still works fine, but its super noticeable when I switch apps, or scroll through facebook or just about any other basic task that requires scrolling or changing apps or sometimes attempting to type with the keyboard, I get lag and the letters dont show up right away......ugh
I have the exact same problem with scrolling and the keyboard lag. Never have previously with any iPhone.
I’ve always loved iPhones, and Apple products in general, for their stability. I think we all have.
But my iPhone and Mac performance has gradually degraded, and now with iOS 14 w/ an 11 Pro Max it’s horrible, frankly. Reminds me of Android.
My Apple TV is horribly unstable as well. Please Apple, address these issues.
Yup scrolling issue is STILL there on 14.4. I’m using an iPhone X as well. This is super annoying and part of the reason I’m still using my Galaxy S10 as my main device. Who would have ever thought Android would be more stable than iOS.
Iphone pro max 256 and ipad pro 10.5. Running now ios 14.4 still has the stuttering issue. It isextremely frustrating that Apple does not test the user experience in a new ios version!. In Waze the lagging is so bad that the screen freezes constantly when moving it around and is almost useless, feels like using a cheap android from 10 years ago!. Stuttering/lagging is not "premium" feeling at all, it give a "low quality device" feeling.
If you look for the benchmarks of all versions of ios14 you will see the video test have lower results than ios 13. For me is like Apple changed the graphis "driver" in preparation for higher refresh rate devices but the new driver is low performing for some reason.
Pathetic that Tim does not uses the things that give his company so money.
I have the same issue, it’s really annoying. I have tried removing the screen protector and updating iOS bur nothing seems to work. Apps run by themselves and the scrolling it’s the worst part. Never happened to me before with other Apple products.
Same with me immediately since iOS 14 was installed in my XS Max. Now I just received the 12 Pro Max in addition and the exact same issue. 24 hours. All day everyday. Charging or not. Extremely frustrating that this has gone months ignored.
Have anyone faced Waze tremendous lags in iOS 14.x?. I am using 11 pro max, and Waze is like running in a cheapo phone, while in iOS 13.x devices it run as butter.
Step up to listen to your customers Tim!
I am complaining that a sw that executed perfectly fine in ios13 now stutters in ios14. Maybe is responsibility of Google, maybe is has nothing to do with iOS 14, maybe, bit also maybe, based in my 22 years of experience as as Computer engineer, the iOS14 changes that make EVEN native apps stutter, impacted it. If I complain to Waze the Google fan boys say “it runs on an apple platform”. So, nobody is never responsible to play nice with each other?. I have the right to express that after 10+ of using iPhone and many, many, many, top Apple and non Apple apps, this iOS version has the worst lagging I have experienced. I agree developers are responsible to extract the max performance of the hw and sw given, but they don’t make the hw, nor OS, nor can access directly the hw layer.
I thought I was the only one having this problem or there is something wrong with my phone. Too bad I don’t have solution, I tried reinstalling Messenger but that didn’t help.
It's Facebook's job to fix their app.
