Apple maps dark mode reverts to white mode when navigating?

I have dark mode turned on on my iPhone, and whenever I open Apple maps it opens in dark mode, but as soon as instant the navigation it reverts to light mode. On my CarPlay it is only available in light mode unfortunately, however whenever I turn on my lights it switches to dark mode.. so it is possible somehow. How can I fix this?

google maps making carplay lag I have been using google maps to connect to my KIA carplay. The maps will work fine for about 2 minutes then my map lags. My car is ahead of were Google Maps thinks I am by about a minute. This also happens with Waze. It also makes switching over to other car play apps extremely slow almost not possible. If I use Apple Maps this doesn't happen but I don't like the Apple Maps. I've reset my phone connections. Deleted the saved car from CarPlay. All my location settings have been reset and updated. My service coverage is good in the areas. Also, all apps and Iphone are updated to the latest versions. Google maps worked great until about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas or is Apple just hating on Google Maps

Lagging Google Maps on Apple CarPlay How can lagging map display on google and Waze maps be fixed. It started about 2-3 weeks ago. Do I need to buy an android phone?
