dodge uconnect doesnt work with iphone

How is the iPhone supposed to work with uconnect? I paired via Bluetooth and sometimes it works. Phone calls always work but something shuts off the maps audio at times and other time it works.

Hey John Zwiebel,

It sounds like you're having some trouble with Uconnect.

Here's some assistance with the Uconnect feature: Uconnect® Bluetooth Pairing Guide | Official Mopar® Site. You can scroll to the bottom to select your specific devices for more specific support.

If you're still having trouble, let us know if you have any trouble with other Bluetooth devices connecting to your iPhone.

Cheers.

I wrote a very long detailed response, but it failed to get posted.

I'm not going to do it again.

I had no problem connecting my phone via Bluetooth.

My problem was that getting Apple Maps information to work with UConnect was impossible.

I was not interested in using the UConnect Garmin system which was difficult to set up and impossible to change while driving.

Also there was no way to keep the radio from coming on. Even if I just wanted UConnect Nav, the radio was always blaring away.

I had a chance to try Car Play with a VW and a Nissan. While there were problems with both, they were much much better than UConnect in the Dodge.
