Hey, thanks to iOS 14 I now have yet another feature that I don't want and can't disable - well done developers!
Yes I use emojis but I do not want the search bar there taking up space on the screen. Does anybody know how to disable the search function but keep the emojis? All I can find is to delete emojis completely in the Keyboard settings but that does not help.

Agreed, this is such a ridiculous design. It should have been an optional interaction that appears and disappears whenever an icon is tapped. Or just let us disable it in settings. If you wanted to make it a permanent search bar then at least do it without increasing the height of the keyboard. Now it’s taking up more than half of my screen and I can read even less of my chats when the emoji keyboard is up. Great job.
I updated my Iphone 7 to IOS 14.2 and i got the new emojis but my emoji search bar is not showing. How do I turn it on? Is it compatible with Iphone 7?

You just need to tap your message bar (where you are typing) and it will revert back to your usual keyboard
It’s when the **** think come up when you don’t want it to and your message goes into search emoji box 🤬
