Apple Watch 6 was stolen (during transit via FedEx)?

Hi,

I was excited to receive the new apple watch 6 in the mail today and immediately brought in the package as soon it arrived (via FedEx carrier who delivered it to my front door). Minutes after I opened the package, I was alerted by, what seems to be "box tampering" evident with the Apple Watch case itself. I opened my package and noticed the Apple Watch 6 (the watch itself) was missing from the box. Other accessories/ancillary items from the package remained intact and delivered as expected. I called Apple Support to report this stolen item and was informed an investigation will be launched (approx. 2 days) and I would be informed a full refund or complete watch replacement. Soon after the call, I got a confirmation that my package is being checked and Fedex sent me an additional notification saying I did indeed receive the package. Does anyone have any other additional actions I need to take? I'm unhappy that this happened and want to be assured that this is properly taken care of. I didn't get any claim number to keep track of the investigation or any other email with next steps for a case like this. Please let me know if anyone has gone through something similar and if there is other additional steps you recommend I take. Thank you in advance!
