icloud breach

I have received many calls and voice messages today saying my iCloud account has been breached. I got scared and finally picked-up. I was told that someone in Germany has been trying to log into my account and asked if I have traveled there recently or given my information to someone who has traveled there. I was then asked if I purchase anything online. I said yes. I was then told to not purchase anything online for the next 24 hrs. I was then asked if I have a computer. I said yes. I was then asked to share my information with them so they can log into my computer. When I asked what for. I was told so that they can get into my computer and find the people trying to access my iCloud and block them. I immediately hung up. About 5 min later I received another call, which I am blocking.

How do I fix this?

If you did not allow the criminals to access the computer, or provide any personal or financial info, you should be fine.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to ignore the calls or hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.

You're welcome.

Unfortunately, calling Apple will be of little effect, because as you have seen the numbers being used are constantly changing, and I can say with 99.999% certainty that the numbers being displayed do not really reflect where the calls are coming from.

Although it is a nuisance, ignoring the calls may be the best defence.

Thank you. I have googled the issues and some people are saying to contact apple support to let them know. Should I do this? I am blocking every call I am getting from the scamming company. They start with 601-701-####, and the last four digits are always different. But they have called every 15min for the past 6 hrs without fail, even though I am blocking each previous call. I am not sure what to do at this point.

Luckily I did not give them any information or let them access anything on my end.
