Finder won't open new windows. It just adds tabs. How do I drag and drop files between tabs?

Before Catalina, I could open several different windows in Finder and drag and drop files between different folders or drives. Now, Catalina just adds new tabs. How do I open up new windows instead of tabs?

Drag files between applications on desktop in Catalina I just got Catalina. I used to be able to transfer files to different locations by opening the hard drive and having several windows of the hard drive open. Now, only one window of the hard drive will open, so I can't drag files between different applications.

Can't easily move files on desktop anymore Hello, Since upgrading my pro book to Catalina, it's really hard to move files. When I click them, they open. It sometimes takes me a few minutes to move one file. Is there any way to stop them from opening? Thank you.

There is a setting to change that in the Finder’s preferences menu. Or right-click and choose to open in a new Window.
