WiFi Hotspot keeps disconnecting - iPhone 11 pro (ios14)

The hotspot keeps getting disconnected every once in a while.

I have to go to the personal hotspot section in settings on my iPhone and then connect to the hotspot network on the client device.

Happens with any client device i've used on.

dell latitude ( Win 10 latest update)

Asus 5z cellphone ( Android 10 )

Asus vivobook 542 ( Windows 10 latest update)

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14

MY (HOPE PERMANENT) FIX: I've reset the Network Settings: (Sett>Reset>Netw) https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204051

  1. All wifi passwords were lost.
  2. Device Name was reset to "iPhone", thus for the PC/Client wifi to be able re-connect
    1. Deleted from PC/Client the old named wifi connection
    2. Searched for the new named iPhone Hotspot - connected and entered password.

I also have this issue with iPhone XR IOS 14.6. I've reset all the network connections. I've turned off Blue Tooth. I've set Auto-Lock to Never. The Hot Spot connection still continually drops. To reconnect to the Hot Spot I have to re-save my Hot Spot network password and reconnect to the Hot Spot. This has been an issue since IOS 13 and still has not bee adequately addressed by Apple. Apple developers - please address this issue. The Hot Spot on my iPhone 5 running IOS 10 was more stable.

Apple cider s **** and ignores its customers They think auto disconnecting devices is a feature you must have, **** you if you want to be able to toggle it. Also the same crackhead designed the never ending home button reminder It just takes up screen space and looks like **** and is annoying. ******* for wanting to toggle it off Only workaround is some long convoluted process for each app. Apple get your **** together your products cost too much for this level of **** you.

I can’t believe this is such a widespread problem. We have a hunting cabin and the only way to watch tv is using my hotspot. Cell service is spotty at best, one place in the cabin I can set my phone for tethering to the Firestick. It’s worked for the past 6 years. Now it drops every 5-10 minutes. I thought it could possibly be the new Firestick 4K…..but nope it’s IOS14!!!! Unbelievable!!! I’ve reset network settings, didn’t work. Haven’t tried the never lock, but I doubt that will work either. FIX THIS NOW APPLE…..this is Busch League performance

Trying to use my older iPhone 8 as a hotspot for security cameras at my RV site. Everyone says this is a great way to get WiFi access when it is not accessible (e.g. in the countryside). Well the hotspot drops after a few hours and I’m not there to set it up again. The phone just updated to the latest iOS (14.7.1), and now it drops the hotspot repeatedly. Strange. Is there something I’m missing?
