WiFi Hotspot keeps disconnecting - iPhone 11 pro (ios14)

The hotspot keeps getting disconnected every once in a while.

I have to go to the personal hotspot section in settings on my iPhone and then connect to the hotspot network on the client device.

Happens with any client device i've used on.

dell latitude ( Win 10 latest update)

Asus 5z cellphone ( Android 10 )

Asus vivobook 542 ( Windows 10 latest update)

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14

I have been having this issue for awhile now. My phone will connect, work well for a few minutes, slow down, and then disconnect all together. I have erased all my settings twice, had Verizon update my carrier settings, gotten a new SIM card, and it still doesn't work. Is there a fix for this?? I'm trying to remote teach, and I am not having as much success as I need.

One thing I seem to have noticed with mine is it happens more often when my new package of hotspot GB is put on every month or when I’ve been housesitting and come back and try to use the TV again with it. It seems to always have issues turning off at these times the most and it takes forever to get support to do what works because i have to be put through 3 or 4 different types of agents to get someone who will do it. I always do the regular network reset, profile update, turn phone off and back on, try putting it on airplane mode, making sure all updates are downloaded and installed. If none of that works the only other thing that helped was for Apple to reset the hotspot completely and you have to be able to have at least 20 min where you are not going to need to use your phone and can shut it off and once i turned it back on it worked great for weeks without going off at all. It’s just hard to get to someone who will do it even if you tell them you were sent to the special techs and that’s what they had to do they still ask you to try everything then next person and try it again then next and again.

I swear if I can go back and return my iPad Air I would. This is ridiculous. I bought an iPad Air with LTE to use for work when I am traveling - and this thing keeps disconnecting my hotspot. I wish I bought the Galaxy Tab 7, but those idiots were not selling an unlocked LTE version....

It does not work with my iPhone 8 Plus.

iOS v14.4

and secondly a lot of us need customisation, like:

1) An Open Hotspot without password.

2) Whitelist and Blacklist people.

3) Control hotspot timeout.

It’s 2021 and they haven’t included these very basic options, I have literally no idea why they are announcing 2 new iPhones each year when they should be working on improving the interface.

I used my hotspot for a year smoothly and reliably. I woke up a few days ago to the iOS 14 update, and my life is wrecking ball— as my hotspot no longer stays connected. It is a nightmare. I missed work. I missed all three days of a one time only class I registered for. I have reset my network settings 5 times which helps for 10 minutes, and then the hotspot disappears completely. I am a slave to this. I spent three hours with a very kind Apple support engineer and he is still unable to fix this. All the while I am losing money and class time. Please Apple, resolve this. We need internet like air nowadays.

I've got the newest iPhone (12) obviously the most up-to-date IOS and I'm having the same issue. I recently moved from Android to IOS, I never had this issue with Android, ergo, the issue is with Apple and the IOS.

IMO it's something that Apple needs to fix.

I've spoken with Apple Support - they're worse than useless and kept saying they only deal with billing issues and couldn't give me any advice - in all honestly I wish I'd just upgraded to a new Pixel phone than switching to Apple.

I was turning on the hotspot or the wifi for the new update IOS14.5.

After connecting the mobile hotspot or the wifi it automatically gets disconnected. I always have to connect and that too I have bought a new IPhone 11 Pro Max and this is happening on the new phone, while I am also having an IPhone X on which this problem is not happening.

Please send the cure as fast.

I also have this issue with iPhone XR IOS 14.6. I've reset all the network connections. I've turned off Blue Tooth. I've set Auto-Lock to Never. The Hot Spot connection still continually drops. To reconnect to the Hot Spot I have to re-save my Hot Spot network password and reconnect to the Hot Spot. This has been an issue since IOS 13 and still has not bee adequately addressed by Apple. Apple developers - please address this issue. The Hot Spot on my iPhone 5 running IOS 10 was more stable.
