Problems transferring own music to iPhone 11 without Apple Music or iCloud?

How do I manually transfer & sync my own music playlists to latest iPhone without having Apple Music or using iCloud?

I only just come back to having an Apple iPhone 11 (last I had was iPhone 4). However, I have always used the iTunes app just as a media player on my laptop & a way of organizing all of the music I've collected in mp3 format over the years.

I want to be able to just sync selected playlists like you used to be able to do, so the music will be physically stored on my phone. I've tried looking at Apple help & numerous communities - but what they say doesn't appear to be what I see on my phone & iTunes. When I click on the device & then music - it says iCloud is turned on & there is no option to manually sync music & playlists, etc. On my phone or iTunes I can't find an option to turn iCloud off.

Please can anybody help?

iPhone 11, iOS 13

Hello TonyMitch777,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

If you want to sync music from your computer to your iPhone as you have done in the past, take a look at this support article:

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support

That article will guide you to the necessary article for syncing if you have macOS Catalina or macOS Mojave or earlier or a PC.

Best regards.
