iOS 14 Translate app doesn’t start

On my daughters iPhone, the new Translate app doesn’t show the microphone. It’s just shows the “Download On-Device Languages” prompt and never gets to the functional part. I’ve disabled all restrictions, but still can’t move past that.

Hi Enrique,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like the Translate app is asking you to download languages. Try closing the app and relaunching it to see if the screen moves forward.

Do you see a Done button in the top right of the screen?

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
