So in iOS 14 I’ve added a widget to my main screen. When I rotate the phone it does not go into landscape mode. It stays in portrait mode. Portrait/landscape is set to off and toggling between them does nothing.
what am I missing?

As of right now, as long as you have a widget on your home screen, it will not rotate. Take the widget off and you'll see it rotate. This will probably be addressed in following updates.
I have to no widgets on my 7+ and the Home Screen icons don’t rotate. So far only Chrome rotates for me. None of the other apps rotate.
Persists after erasing and setting up as new with all widgets removed from home and today, third party app confirms accelerometer shows working for rotation

Very annoying and sad that I cannot view YouTube videos movies or photos in landscape mode anymore since the ‘upgrade’.
