How do I know if I have a public iOS update? And how do I delete it

everytime i get in widget smith it kicks me out and when i try to do my ios 14 screen it what let me do my color widget or photo widget !

I spent 20 minutes getting frustrated with this before I realized after all the adjustments are done you need to back out of the edit screen and there’s a save button on the top right that actually (DUH) saves the customization and automatically adjusts it on your Home Screen.

I also had problems with the Photos widget from Widgetsmith. I managed to fix by creating a 'New Album' in Photos that I labeled Widgetsmith. I added a single photo in it and it now works.

P.S: Photos won't work if you accidentally add an album with videos only.

The reason why the app kicks you out is because you have the iOS 14 beta if your phone is acting up the way it should not be acting up that means that you should’ve waited until the iOS 14 update came out before you even got the beta because the beta will give your phone trouble and it wouldn’t let you get into certain things on your phone so with that being said you need to go to General on settings press profile and delete the iOS 14 beta profile and then after you go to General again press software updates and then that’s when you’ll see that I was IOS 14 update and it will tell you that it will update your phone but it will take overnight to process because it will not do it over 10 minutes...I hope this helps😇

Same with Color Widget, which I’m definitely thinking is a bug because I added a background picture to my Color Widget instead of having one of the default options (picture should be added). My mom doesn’t have a background picture for hers and the time seems to update perfectly fine, but whenever I notice the time is off on my widget, I have to manually go into the app and save the widget again to update the time. Kinda annoying :/

Building up on Jlintriestohelp's answer, what also worked for me was to delete the Widgetsmith widget and add it back again based on the steps laid out here.

It's also worth noting that the widget should be created in the Widgetsmith app first before you add it into your homescreen, otherwise for some reason it doesn't work. :(

EVERYONE!!! I know how to fix it. If you have the public iOS update DELETE IT. I had it an couldn’t go into Widgetsmith. And then I couldn’t get get in my music. Tell me if it works for you. YOUR WELCOME
