iOS 14.0 issue can’t copy paste phone numbers

hi I downloaded iOS 14.0 to my iphone Since this download , copy paste isn’t working on the phone app or message app . I need to be able to copy and paste phone numbers because if it’s a strange number I like to copy and paste to google so I can check out the number before calling it back or blocking it .

this issue is very inconvenient. Please can anyone advise me how to get it working again ?

iPhone Feedback:

Leave Feedback to Apple on this - as mentioned above. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they'll know what is going on and what needs to be fixed.

  1. Go to: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for "Feedback Type"
  3. Proceed from there as necessary.

Greetings Maribelle12,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems you're not enjoying some changes that have arrived with iOS 14, such as copying phone numbers directly from the call log or from Messages.

You're welcome to leave feedback directly to Apple with your thoughts on features and improvements:

Android is FARRRRR (r to the 10 power) more intuitive than IOS esp with copy and paste. Android is light years ahead of IOS in general. The only reason I switched to IOS is for privacy, but productivity has fallen dramatically dealing with apples quirks. Copy and paste yikessss.

Dont even get me started that I cant use the phone as a flash drive to a computer.......like whoa.....

What is more distributing is the apple cult members running to apples defense on simple items, lets just call it as it is, apple needs to come up to par with productivity features. Updates for emojis......really.......society is progressive?

Are you joking? This is a “feature” and not a bug? So much for helping spam detectors by submitting all the phony calls we receive. Apple’s block function doesn’t do a thing against spammers. Apple certainly has a way of making things worse. But hey, this is where all those new facepalm emojis come in handy, I guess.

Chris_D13 How can you describe the loss of an important feature as being a "change that we should enjoy". It's a software bug that should have been captured at iOS 14 development, testing or Beta phases. So amateur that another bug gets past Apple's software "quality control". And you're just adding insult to injury by suggesting that consumers "should enjoy" this change! It's now March 2021 and I'm on iOS 14.4, and I still cannot consistently copy/paste like I used to in all previous iOS versions, from emails, SMS, contacts, WhatsApp, etc. Totally screwed again. Don't ask consumers to spend their time constantly send feedback - just test the described bug and you'll see it's an error!
