The translator that incorporates IOS 14 does not work.

I have an Iphone SE with the IOS 14 version.

The translator (if I use the microphone) that incorporates IOS 14 does not work. It tells me "Translation not available. The app is not available at this time. Please try again later." And so every day.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you.

Hello I_rina.

Yes, the application opens normally for me.

I have a good and good Wifi connection.

I do not have low power mode activated.

I have 2 iPhone SE (1 Generation) in one of them with IOS13 and the one that presents the problems is the one that I have updated to IOS 14, through Itunes.

I have realized that the translator that incorporates the IOS 14 version does not listen to me when I speak to him so that he can translate for example from Spanish to English.

The funny thing is that if I send a voice message via WhatsApp, the recipient will not hear anything, if they send me a voice message, I can hear it perfectly. And Google's voice translator doesn't work either. And if I make a phone call, I'm not heard either and I can't hear.

On the other hand, if I speak to Siri, it listens and responds correctly.

All this happens after the installation of IOS version 14.

With the iPhone IOS 13, there is no problem.

Is there any way to go back to IOS13 version? Or some way to fix the problem? (If it was a problem with the microphone of the iPhone then Siri would not hear me, right? And before updating to IOS14 everything worked correctly)

Awaiting your help.

Thank you very much.

Hello again I_rina.

As since I updated the firmware I had not restarted the iPhone, I just turned it off and wanting to start it again, now it does not start, the Apple apple appears and it turns off itself and so on all the time. Now I do not know what to do to restart the iPhone, if what I have done is simply turn it off and want to turn it on again without touching anything. **** update, the other iPhone belongs to my husband and everyone has their own. When I upgraded to IOS 14.0 there was no error message, the upgrade was successful.

I am sending you the link of a small video where you can see that the iPhone does not start.

How can I restart my iPhone?

Please help.

Thank you.

Muchas gracias.

Hi mar286,

It sounds like you're having trouble using the Translate app and we can help.

Does the Translate app open normally for you?

Are you otherwise able to use the internet to connect to webpages in Safari or the App Store? Let us know if you're on known good Wi-Fi.

Do you have Low Power Mode enabled? You can check in Settings > Battery. Make sure this is off, as it can affect syncing and internet activity.

Are you connected to VPN?

Follow the steps here to use the Translate app:

I have been looking on the internet for the previous error and in a video tutorial that I have seen on YouTube I have found the solution to the problem of the video that I have sent and I have been able to restore the iPhone. It has been updated from IOS 4.0 to IOS 4.1 and with the backup I have restored the iPhone.

Problems I didn't have with IOS13:

The translator that incorporates the new version, if it works, but instead of speaking, I do it with shouts.

If I send a voice SMS or a voice message via WhatsApp, it is only heard if I scream.

If I make a phone call, the listener only hears me if I yell or speak normally with the hands-free.

If I use the "Voice Notes" app, I only hear what is recorded, if I have done it with screams.

If I use Siri, it hears me and responds perfectly, Siri hears me even if I whisper.

Why does Siri hear me speaking in a normal voice and the other apps have to be yelling?

Awaiting your help. And forgive me for so many messages.

Thank you.
