My right AirPod is having connection issues (AirPods Pro)

I have updated my AirPod Pros firmware to 3A283 and my right AirPod doesn’t work or won’t connect. I have tried all the steps listed on Apple Support but nothing has helped(It is like the right AirPod doesn’t exist anymore)

i had the same issue. Pretty sure it’s a firmware problem. Charge level kept switching from none to 100%. Brought them back and exchanged them. My new ones have the previous firmware so I’m going to try and prevent them from updating by turning off Bluetooth while I charge my case. Note that the right pod shows charging even though it’s not in the case. Too bad this has to happen with a brand new $250 pair of earbuds. Fix this please, Apple

Same issue here. My right AirPod provides no sound and then the left one cuts out after a few seconds and then reconnects. I definitely do not think it is hardware, as mine will both connect and work flawlessly when in a phone call. In fact, I can play music though both of them, as long as a call is active in the background. Very weird and very frustrating.

same here. I just today received 2 new airpod pros as the old ones (bought back in october 2019) had issues with crackling noise and ANC. when I left the store, I checked the firmware and it was 2D27. All was working fine, ANC was working like on the first day when I bought them. At home, I put them in the case to charge them. 30 minutes ago, I pulled them out and guess what. I experience the same issue you described here. The left airpod does not work at all. Resetting the case does not help. The right airpod is working flawlessly. Does not look like a hardware issue at all to me.
