Thanks for your reply. I have done it by unblocking the firewall option under security.
Learned something today. Once again Thanks for your advice.
Which Canon printer model is it?
Glad to hear that. Thanks for reporting back.
Without knowing any details about the setup/network, I hope that you can find a suitable configuration, allowing printing as well as an active firewall.
Be sure to go to the Canon Driver website:
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/operating-system-compatibility
And check its compatibility with Catalina, or High Sierra as the case may be. Note, you posted to the High Sierra forum (10.13), but your signature says your MacBook Air has Catalina. Download the appropriate driver for your system. Apple menu -> About This Mac will tell you what you are running.
Hi,
Model MG3077 can be found, for example, here:
https://asia.canon/support/PIXMA%20MG3070__%20MG3070S__%20MG3077/model
(I do not know whether an MG3077S is significantly different).
macOS Catalina 10.15 appears to be supported.
Are you already using any of the listed drivers?
