I am trying to upgrade software on my phone. I forget my old password for my iPhone. It is asking me to approve this iPhone through icloud. How to approve this iPhone through iCloud on my iMac ?

"Approve this iPhone." I log into iCloud to approve the phone on my iMac, but there is no prompt on the computer to approve the iPhone. I forgot my password and entered the wrong password too many time and i was locked out of my iPhone. Tried for days to remember, no luck. I went to apple store and ended up buying a new phone because I basically had bricked the phone. After buying the new phone, I didn't sign into iCloud in case I remembered the password. After a few days, I found my password and went back to Apple with both phones. They switched me back to my original phone. Everything was ok, I just needed to verify with my other device to "Approve this iPhone". When I get home, I get on my iMac, but there is no message to "Approve this iPhone" anywhere. I am logged into iCloud on both devices. Where is the message to approve the phone on the computer?

enter old password, you can approve this iPhone from one of your other Update Apple ID Settings. When signing in the it asks for the old phone code and my iPhone was wiped so I dont have a previous code. How do I approve the iPhone from my PC?

Update Apple ID I forgot my iPhone password. I restored it, but it wants me to update my Apple ID with my old password. It says that I can do that/approve my phone with another device signed into my ID without deleting my iPhone data. How do I do that?
