with 14, my airpods (original) keep disconnecting. settings will say its still connected, but all audio comes from the phone not the airpods. it happens everytime i use siri, and every time i have them in my ears without listening to anything for a few

If you haven't done so yet, try updating your iPhone to iOS 14.0.1. Be sure to create a backup before updating.

If the issue continues after the update, you'll want to try to Reset your AirPods.

My watch has been paired with my phone and AirPods together with no problems, since last year, until I did this update. I will see if I need to update my watch also.
today i got the replacement airpods but they are doing the same thing what should i do now
I encountered when this happens my bluetooth automatically becomes unavailable
I was having the same issue. I realised my AirPods were pairing with my watch. If you into the AirPods settings and turn off the automatic connection it seems to fix the issue
I replaced both my iPhone pro max 12 and also the AirPod Pro. Still experiencing the same issue.
