Videos on safari, IPhone, IOS 14

Hello There. Has anybody else found that when you’re watching videos on any site that you’re on, when you’re double tapping the screen on the video to make it zoom in it doesn’t do it until you tap the screen once and then it zooms in. And then you double tap it again to put it back to normal and instead it zooms so far out to a point where you can barely see the video at all. With the update before the IOS 14 this was never a problem. Was this intentional or accidental in making the new update. This needs to be fixed and put back to normal.

I have the same problem, from Spain. With iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, when you apply double tap, do nothing, when you tap one more the screen fit, but if you double tap again, the screen minimize to a very small size, that you can fix only when turn the iphone to horizontal. IOS 14.1 still be the problem.

A few other things i discovered trying to play videos with iOS 14.2, iPhone 7, Safari:

— If am playing a video from youtube or whatever and try to make it full screen, the image is a tiny box, or too big for the screen.

— Toggling the little “zoom” button at top of screen does nothing. Also, if it is blown up large, no tapping reverses the zoom. It’s frozen.

— If I pause during a video snd then tap to resume play, it is frozen. Won’t play.

— If I start to play a video and make it “full screen”” holding the phone normally, and then turn the phone 90 degrees for a wider view, the screen goes black, the video stops playing, and the webpage the video was on displays again instead.

Are there settings that are not right? Does anyone from Apple follow these threads?

Do I fix that in the phone settings?

cause another thing that happens is that when I’m unable to put it back to normal after it goes from zoomed in to miniature, I end up having to exit the video and then go back in it.

when you click on the "picture in picture icon"(an icon with an arrow pointing to the bottom right, next to the cross mark) when the video has become miniature, and undo it, you can make the size normal again without stopping the video.

The same.here and no fullscreen video playback in safari. Ios 14, ip8+. It's really bad, hopefully it will be fixed in the following update.

I have Iphone SE,I don’t know if it’s the same on every phone,but restarting didn’t help at all...

Same here. New iOS pushed and now online video playback zoom is all crazy. Tiny box or HUGE, ot of screen. Really annoying. Is anyone having success remedying this?

iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 horrible safari video performance. Broken.

I also have this problem even on iOS 14.3 iPhone 7. This is really annoying and has been going on for months. Factory reset didn't help. Apple, please fix.
