Widgets on iPadOS

is the widgets feature available on iPadOS 14? If so how can I add widgets on my home screen? If not then will it ever be available in the future?

think the only way is to

settings->home screen & dock->app icons

and choose more

and then they will be there in the left side when in landscape mode
