Pdf created date changes when file modified

When I open a pdf file and change anything or insert or delete pages the created date in Mac OS changes to today's date. When I view the file properties in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC the creation date remains the original date of the file. I don't see anywhere in Mac preferences that would cause the creation date to become the same as the modify date.

Date Modified in Finder changes when Word and Excel files open I have experience that the folder changes the Date Modified when I open a word och excel file, tested a folder containing a Page and Numbers document, and opened these files, and as expected , the folder stayed in the same time setting without changing the date. This problem has been reported earlier but I can't see how to fix it. If some one at Apple reades this it would be of much benefit for my workflow if you could fix this problem. Good luck!

finder does not keep the DATE CREATED on dragged in files In Catalina Finder, I drag in a file created some time ago, and yet the DATE CREATED always shows the current date! How can I preserve the original created date?
